I am a carpenter and designer, living in a small island community on the largest freshwater lake in the world. I am deeply invested in disrupting the cycle of intergenerational trauma in my own lineage and my communities. I am more interested in the exploration of questions than the proving of answers.

We're Halfway There

August 1, 2017
1310.7 (Robbers Spring) to 13.43.8 (Boundary Spring on the edge of Lassen NP)
Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hike: Day 88

Holy. Shit.

Hiked 33.3 miles to the border of Lassen Volcanic National Park. Halfway saw a bear. Benny and Chill are behind us. Passed halfway mark of the PCT and saw that Cake, Beave, Trail Name, Vice, and Boathouse are only a day ahead.

Exhausted. But accomplished.

Also, Lassen Volcanic National Park is…. WET. Real wet. Soggy and wet. The ground is wet. The air is wet. We crossed some threshold a mile before the Boundary Spring and BOOM. Wet.
