Crayfish, Fried Bagels and Brie

August 18, 2017
Mile 1717.5 to Mile 1743.9 (past Little Hyatt Reservoir Outlet)
Pacific Crest Trail Thru-Hike: Day 105

26 miles from Fish Lake Resort. Cowboy camping. Today felt long; we didn’t start walking until 7am. We have seen so many SOBOs starting yesterday.

Sam caught crayfish from a lake outlet and cooked them on the spot. They start out brown and turn bright red when they are cooked. I fried a bagel in ghee and melted brie onto it, followed by eating waaaay too many lentils, with feta and marinated olives.

New shoes are doing okay. No hot spots yet.

Arianna booked her flight yesterday to come out and hike with us.
